Dr. John Bowen is a Licensed Psychologist (License#PSY30271) who received his Executive Coaching Certification from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Bowen went on to create the Triumph Coaching program: 90 days to transformation as well as the new cutting edge coaching technique called the Lucid Symbology Method that integrates deeper neurological changes that last which is a much improved update to what is currently being offered in the coaching world. He was listed in the May 2024 of the magazine, Best Of California, the doctors edition. His writings have been taught at multiple universities in the US as well as internationally in Bhutan. Dr. John Bowen is a highly accomplished Clinical Psychologist, Executive Coach, and the

Dr. Bowen holds a Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of
Professional Psychology, where he graduated with distinction, earning a 3.98 GPA. He also
holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Chicago, and a
Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from St. Xavier University. Dr. Bowen’s academic
background, combined with his extensive clinical training, provides a strong foundation for his
coaching methodology, which is grounded in psychological principles and designed for
long-term success.
In addition to his clinical credentials, Dr. Bowen is a certified Executive Coach through
Harvard University, where he earned the Mastery Certification in Executive Coaching. His
commitment to continuous professional development ensures that he remains at the forefront of
the latest psychological and coaching techniques, which he integrates into his unique coaching
approach.
Dr. Bowen’s professional experience spans diverse roles in both clinical and coaching settings.
As a Clinical Psychologist, he has worked with individuals facing a wide range of mental
health challenges, including trauma, PTSD, severe mental illness, and anxiety. His clinical
experience includes work at Broadwell Health/San Ysidro Health, where he provided therapy
to underserved populations, and at Vista Balboa Crisis House, where he supported clients
with severe psychological disorders.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bowen has worked as an Executive Coach and Personal
Transformation Coach. He founded Triumph Coaching to offer a unique, research-driven
approach to personal and professional development. Through his coaching, Dr. Bowen helps
clients overcome mental and emotional barriers, build resilience, and achieve lasting success
using the Lucid Symbology Technique. This innovative coaching method integrates
psychological principles with neuroscience to facilitate deep, lasting change at both the
conscious and unconscious levels.
Dr. Bowen has also had a significant impact globally. He has worked as a consultant and
educator at the Royal University of Bhutan, where he helped shape the country’s newly
developed psychology program. He also volunteered as a Peace Ambassador in Jerusalem,
fostering dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian communities, and as a Holistic Counselor
Volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity, providing support to homeless individuals living with
HIV/AIDS in Washington, D.C.
In addition to his clinical and coaching practice, Dr. Bowen is a published author. His book,
The Book of Destiny: Be Careful What You Read, Stories Change Lives Forever, explores the
intersection of quantum physics, spirituality, psychology, and storytelling. Portions of the book
